Pi-Chrome Project

Objective: Learn some basics about users, groups, and naming of Ubuntu Linux servers.

Materials: Chromebook, Ethernet Cable, Micro SD card w/ Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS Image, Raspberry Pi, USB-C Power Supply

In this lesson, we are going to add a new user to our Linux server.  Then we’ll add the new user to all of the groups that our default ‘ubuntu’ user is part of.  We’ll follow that up by deleting the ‘ubuntu’ user and clean up their file storage.  And finally, we’ll learn how to change the hostname of our server.  Please see the videos below for a detailed walkthrough of these tasks.
