Lesson 4 - Creating an Image of Our Operating System

Objective: To create an image of the Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS on a micro SD card using the Raspberry Pi Imager software.

Materials: Dedicated PC or Mac, Micro SD card reader / writer, Micro SD card w/ at least 8GB of storage, Raspberry Pi Imager software

In this lesson, we will write an image of the operating system we will use on the Raspberry Pi.  This lesson is probably best done by the instructor.  It requires a dedicated computer that has priviledges to download and install a piece of software from the Raspberry Pi Foundation called the Raspberry Pi Imager.  For this course, we will be using Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS (64-bit).  Follow the pictures and the tutorial in the resource link below to create an image.
